The Kwara State AWLA held their Children’s Day 2025 at St. Banabas Secondary School Ilorin, Kwara State. The members were warmly received by the Students and Staffs of the school. AWLA members donated little gifts to them to mark the beautiful day and the Country Representative in Person of Mrs. Falilat Orire gave a brief lecture on the topics TAPPING THE UNTAPPED NATURAL TREASURES to celebrate the children stating that the children are the natural treasures all around us.
As part of initiative and advocacy by African Women Lawyers Association(AWLA)Nigeria Chapter, Kwara State Branch and in collaboration with Horizon Of Peace And Development Initiative.
Each child is a natural treasure full of potential, talent and unique abilities ready to be discovered and nurtured. Unfortunately, many of this potential goes unused or unappreciated.But imagine a world where every child is explore, encourage and make his or her dream a reality. Imagine a world where your ideas, your dreams or your voice are reshape the future.
Tapping this treasure implies giving every child the right to education, freedom to express and the opportunity to grow. It means creating a society where every child is safe, respected and celebrateed not just in Children’s Day, but everyday of life.
She encouraged all the parents, teachers and leaders across board work together to annexed into the richest treasure of all the minds and hearts of our children.
While thanking the organizer of this program The African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA)Nigeria Chapter Kwara State Branch and in collaboration with Horizon of Peace and Development Initiative pledged a total support for any form of litigation in protecting the right of our “Treasure Children” in this school.
