Today, the African Women Lawyers Association(AWLA) Nigeria Chapter rolls out the drums to celebrate Mrs. Hairat Balogun, OON—a trailblazer in the legal industry who pioneered change, paving the way for future generations—on her 62 of law practice.

This legend of the law world broke barriers to etch out the stairs for women to make their mark on a commonly male dominated industry. We reiterate that as lawyers committed to human rights and the rule of law, women must be encouraged to live their dreams. History has shown us that hard work and perseverance can lead to incredible accomplishments, inspiring generations of women to success.

Mrs. Balogun is a shiny and outstanding example of good practice, bravery and professionalism whose lengthy dedication to the law has made a significant impact on the profession.
