2025 Theme: Step Up the Pace

In 2012, the UN General Assembly designated February 6th as the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, with the aim to amplify and direct the efforts on the elimination of this harmful practice.

On this day, AWLA Warri chapter visited Agbarah Warri community Edjeba and sensitised the community on the subject matter: as duty bearers, we are reminded that our actions or inactions have consequences, and can either perpetuate harmful practices or uphold the law.

As an Association, we remain committed to justice and thereby support a world where Female Genital Mutilation is no longer tolerated.
